Established June 2006, the Whiteladies Road Farmers (and Fair Trade) market is one of Bristol’s most well known markets. Held every Saturday, from 8.30am to 2pm, the Whiteladies Market brings the best local and Fair Trade produce into the heart of Bristol.
Originally started to:
- raise awareness and provide more opportunity for local people to buy locally produced low packaged products
- provide a sales outlet for local farmers and food producers
- create a regular community event focused on sustainability
Many local producers have regular pitches at the Whiteladies Road Farmers Market, including:
- Leigh Court Farm
- Cotswold Edge Farm
- Old Sodbury Lamb
- Gales Farm
Numerous other stands sell anything from chutneys, meat and cheese to hand-crafted wooden bowls and kitchenware.
All sellers at the Whiteladies Road Farm have been fully vetted to supply only locally produced (South West of England) food and goods. Occasionally there will be items/produce for sale which has originated from abroad, when this is the case it has to come from a traceable, ethical supply chain.
